As Executive Chef of INTERCONTINENTAL MONTRÉAL since September 1996, Christian Lévêque has made his mark exploring and creating exciting dishes using Québec’s wealth of exceptional regional products. Whether he is experimenting with local micro-beers or adapting ancient Amerindian recipes for the contemporary palate, Chef Lévêque has developed his own innovative and distinctive cuisine.
Well-known from the Montrealers for his creativity and his dynamism, Chef Lévêque landed in Montreal in 1986. His first local position was Executive Chef for the Ritz Carlton Hotel where he worked for 4 years. Then, as Chef-owner, he opened the famous Restaurant Les Champs Elisées.
Before his arrival in Montréal, Chef Lévêque worked in the best hotels in France as well as the INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS of Abidjan on the Ivory Coast and in New York.
At the INTERCONTINENTAL MONTRÉAL, Chef Lévêque oversees all the menu creations and their preparations for the main dining room Les Continents, the bistro-bar Chez Plume, the piano-bar Le Cristallin as well as for Room Service and the Banquet Department. These menus actually reflect his unique style where classic, contemporary and regional gastronomy become one exquisite experience.
