You may have heard of tourtière, Québec's famous meat pie, known far and wide. The tourtière du Lac-Saint-Jean is a traditional variation that incorporates several types of meat. This region is also celebrated for its blueberries - and recipes inspired by this noble fruit. There's blueberry pie, of course, but you'll also want to sample chocolate-covered blueberries, a specialty that comes courtesy of Trappist monks. The broad bean, known as gourgane to Quebeckers, grows abundantly in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, and finds its greatest culinary expression in a traditional soup. You'll find all of the colors of the culinary rainbow here
